Dr. Elayne Chaplin will be looking at the way that these two different aspects of filmmaking intersect as well as exploring the ways in which great directors leave their mark on popular genres and themes. In each session you will be comparing extracts from the films of two auteurs whose work is associated with a particular genre or theme.
Course fees: £50 and £40 for Friends, students and senior citizens

The Forum Film Club
 An informal film club that meets at the Forum to see and talk about films: once a month on the first or second Thursday to see a current release,
and also on occasional Sundays for the world cinema showing.
Discussions are in Scott's café/bar. No film knowledge is required, just enthusiasm for film.
